Job Responsibilities:

As a Registered Nurse at Three Oaks Hospice, you’ll have the opportunity to care for patients in-home with the following responsibilities:

  • Skilled Nursing Care: Administer comprehensive hospice nursing care at patients’ homes, ensuring their comfort and quality of life.
  • Care Coordination: Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including patients, families, and referring agencies, to ensure seamless, personalized care.
  • Advanced Care: Provide hands-on advanced nursing care based on the patient’s medical plan, including pain management and symptom control.
  • Medication and Equipment Management: Administer medication, manage medical equipment, including colostomy/catheter care, and ensure proper trachea care.
  • Training and Supervision: Supervise and train aides to maintain high standards of patient care.
  • Patient and Family Support: Offer emotional support and guidance to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions.
Hospice Registered Nurse Providing Care

Applicant Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

  • Current state license as an Registered Nurse (RN) and current state driver’s license

  • Two years experience as an Registered Nurse (RN) in a clinical care setting; hospice or home health experience preferred

  • Current CPR certification
  • Proficient skill using a computer is required; Microsoft Office suite experience is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide effective support to the patient and family
  • Demonstrate skill in nursing practice, ability to cope with family emotional stress and tolerance of individual lifestyles
